Disney World is always changing. From week to week, and even day to day, many significant things can change. Recently, many things have changed including the France pavilion at Epcot, the Magical Express, and Extra Magic Hours. Today I’ll be talking about that.
New France Pavilion Space
Recently, the France pavilion at Epcot has been undergoing some changes. These changes are to prepare for the arrive of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. So, on Tuesday, Epcot opened the streets division in front of the ride. They are beautiful and definitely look like they belong in Paris. Now that these streets have opened, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure could open any day.

Magical Express Is Getting Retired
Recently, an announcement was made about the Magical Express, which is the Disney-owned bus that shuttles you from the Orlando International Airport to the resort you are staying at. What was the announcement? Well, the Magical Express is getting shut down. It won’t be immediate, though. In fact, the removal won’t happen until January 1st, 2022. This change is due in part to so many other options being available, including rideshare services like Uber and Lyft. Also, during Covid-19, nobody really wants to sit on a bus with strangers. It is unknown at this time whether or not Disney will develop a new option for once the buses are gone.

Extra Magic Hours
Another thing announced to be retired is Extra Magic Hours. As a reminder, Extra Magic Hours are available to guests, and allows you to get into parks one hour early or stay one hour late at one set park per day. These extra hours have not returned since the park reopened in the summer, and it has been announced that they won’t return. Instead, for the resort’s 50th anniversary, there will be bonus hours for all on-property guests. These will allow guests to arrive 30 minutes early and stay 30 minutes late at any park they choose. This will be huge because previously, Extra Magic Hours were at one set park for a day. This will also will attract more guests for the much-anticipated 50th anniversary.
That’s all for today’s post, I hope you enjoyed. Comment down below what you think about these new changes! Thanks for reading, and have a magical day!

Thanks for these updates Max. I can’t believe a 50th anniversary celebration is on the horizon. I went to the park when it first opened. It does not seem like that many years ago. Keep us updated on the celebratory events! Great post!

I was disappointed to hear about the Magical Express ending! It was always a reliable and easy way to get to the resort. I like the change to the extra hours though! Also can’t wait to see the updates to France!
